Timothy Isaiah Courtright (1848 – February 8, 1887), also known as "Longhair Jim" or "Big Jim" Courtright, was a Sheriff in Ft. Worth, Texas from 1876-1879. In 1887, he was killed in a shootout with gambler and gunfighter Luke Short.
- His name wasn’t really Jim. When Big Jim was born in early 1845 near Springfield, Illinois, his parents named him Timothy Isaiah Courtright. Not Jim or James, as you might expect.
