Canan Kaftancıoğlu (born 3 February 1972) is a Turkish physician and politician. She is the president of the Republican People's Party's (CHP) in Istanbul. In September 2019, she was sentenced to 9 years and 8 months imprisonment for insulting the president and terrorism related charges but after an appeal by the CHP, the Court of Cassation reduced her sentence to over 4 years and 11 months in May 2022.
