Chris Downey is an American writer and producer. Downey got his start as a television writer with an episode of Cosby in 1998. He went on to write for several other shows, including Oh, Grow Up, and What about Joan, and later to produce other shows, including The King of Queens and Leverage.
Being one of the very few working blind architects in the world, Chris Downey has been featured in local, national, and international media stories and has also participated in TED talks about architecture, visual impairment, and blindness.
Chris Downey was an architect for 20 years when he suddenly lost his sight in 2008 after surgery to remove a tumor on his optic nerve.
