The park is in full bloom! Jul 2021. Prescott Park is one of the most beautiful parks in the country. It's historic and right on the water, has beautiful landscaping, has an outdoor arts venue, and is steps away from Portsmouth's Strawbery Banke, shops, and restaurants. The flower gardens are in full bloom right now.

Located on the waterfront across Marcy Street from Strawbery Banke, this ten-acre parcel of land once housed bustling warehouses and wharves. By the 1930s, the area had fallen on hard times, was quite rundown and had become home to the city’s notorious red-light district.
Visiting Prescott Park is on my to-do list every July; it’s a 10-acre area located on the waterfront just outside downtown Portsmouth. It has gardens, walking paths, big grassy fields, and shady benches where you can relax and take it all in.
