Wartislaw IV or Vartislav IV (before 1290 – 1 August 1326) was Duke of Pomerania-Wolgast from 1309 until his death. He was the only son of Duke Bogislaw IV of Pomerania and his wife Margareta, a daughter of Vitslav II, Prince of Rügen. Vartislaw IV had four sisters: Jutta, Elisabeth, Margareta and Eufemia.

After Wartislaw III died heirless in 1264, Barnim I became sole duke of the whole duchy. After Barnim's death, the duchy was to be ruled by his sons Barnim II, Otto I and Bogislaw IV. The first years, Bogislaw, being the eldest, ruled in place of his too young brothers.

May 2, 2019 · Wartislaw IV, duke of Pomerania-Wolgast, was the only son of Bogislaw IV, duke of Pomerania, and his second wife Margaret (Małgorzata) von Rügen [1] and ws born between 11 and 27 May 1291. [2] He succeeded his father as Duke of Pomerania in Wolgast and Hinterpommern in1309 [3] which received Imperial confirmation on 4 July 1311. [2] .
The duchy originated from the realm of Wartislaw I, a Slavic Pomeranian duke, and was extended by the Lands of Schlawe and Stolp in 1317, the Principality of Rügen in 1325, and the Lauenburg and Bütow Land in 1455.
