Amadeus IV (1197-1253) succeeded as Tenth Count of Savoy while his brother, Thomas II, obtained Piedmont, Aimone the County of Chablais, and Peter and Philip received other fiefs. The brothers agreed to be nominal vassals of Amadeus IV.
