Wanted Dead or Alive is an American Western television series starring Steve McQueen as bounty hunter Josh Randall. It aired on CBS for three seasons from 1958–1961. The black-and-white program was a spin-off of a March 1958 episode of Trackdown, a 1957–1959 Western series starring Robert Culp.
A reclusive old man with an Apache bodyguard is wanted for a crime committed long ago. Randall tags along with an overeager bounty hunter to ensure the man is brought back alive as a favor to the Sheriff and the old man.
A bounty hunter (Steve McQueen) makes a living in 1870s Wild West with his sawed-off rifle. When a marshal is killed, Josh takes matters into his own hands to track down the Martin brothers, who are responsible for his death.
