Cimarron Strip is an American Western television series starring Stuart Whitman as Marshal Jim Crown. The series was produced by the creators of Gunsmoke and aired on CBS from September 1967 to March 1968. Reruns of the original show were aired in the summer of 1971.

The Oklahoma Panhandle (formerly called No Man's Land, the Public Land Strip, the Neutral Strip, or Cimarron Territory) is a salient in the extreme northwestern region of the U.S. state of Oklahoma, consisting of Cimarron County, Texas County and Beaver County, from west to east.
Marshal Crown manages to miraculously survive being shot twice -- during a failed attempt by two outlaw brothers to free a third, who had been arrested for murder--and going without treatment until a doctor can be located.
Cimarron Territory refers to the area that is now the Oklahoma Panhandle, a strip of land 34 miles wide and 169 miles long. In the 1880s a grassroots movement sought territorial status for Cimarron Territory. A provisional government would organize the territory, encourage homesteading, and bring statehood.
S1.E16 ∙ Fool's Gold. Thu, Jan 11, 1968. Marshal Crown and his posse thwart a payroll robbery and capture or kill all the entire outlaw gang. The leader is sentenced to ten years in territorial prison, but Crown can't gather enough evidence to charge the youngest member.
