Velvet sets up a raffle to save a horse named The Pie from being slaughtered. So she rides the Pie in the junior steeplechase competition and wins riding bareback.—Ian

At the County Fair Martha wins the Blue Ribbon for her jam, soon a salesman comes to the farm to buy her receipe and sell it nationwide. Herbert gets upset because they will make lots of money and won't need the farm anymore.

With a brush fire getting too close to the Brown farm Herbert and Mi have to go and try and put it out, but in a panic King escapes from his paddock. Then a wolf runs into the barn to escape from the fire.
