The protagonist, Chloe King, is a teenager who discovers on her sixteenth birthday that she has special cat-like powers, including nine lives, enhanced speed, strength, hearing, agility, night vision and the ability to extend her nails like cat claws, along with the ability to sense human emotions.
Filmed primarily in San Francisco and loosely based on the series of young-adult novels by Liz Braswell, The Nine Lives of Chloe King revolves around the life of a teenage girl who discovers she is of an ancient race of supernatural beings.
Chloe King is looking forward to celebrating her birthday with her friends and single mother, just like every other year... that is until she starts developing heightened abilities and discovers she's being pursued by a mysterious figure.
