The Flintstone Kids is an American animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera. It is an alternative incarnation of the studio's original animated series The Flintstones. The series depicts juvenile versions of the main characters from the original show. [ 1] It aired from September 13, 1986, to November 14, 1987, on ABC. [ 2]

is a Saturday morning animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera. It is an alternative incarnation and a spin-off of the original series, The Flintstones, and is the sixth incarnation of the Flintstones franchise. The series depicts juvenile versions of the main characters from the original show, where they deal with their childhood.
This series featured the following segments:
•The Flintstone Kids: The "main" story of the show. Either it would be the length of a full episode or be split into two different stories.
•Flintstone Funnies: Freddy, Barney, Wilma and Betty dreaming of exciting fantasy/adventures. These were dropped in the second season.
•Dino's Dilemmas: This segment featured the adventures and misadventures of Freddy's pet dinosaur Dino.

In 1988, the show introduced a special edition of the program, The Flintstone Kids' "Just Say No" Special, which focused on the gang about learning the joys of saying no to drugs.
•The show is usually treated as being set in its own continuity due to characters from the original series all knowing each other as children and many other obvious characters, families, locations and history differences (such as the fact that Fred and Wilma came from Arkanstone and not Bedrock or Fred having Dino since childhood despite all other media showing him owning Dino in adulthood).
•Regardless, elements from The Flintstone Kids would be brought over into follow-up media but with some differences, such as Philo Quartz still being a friend of Fred's in adulthood but who is not an inventor and is instead a police officer as seen in A Flintstones Christmas Carol, and the more modern inventions that were introduced in The Flintstone Kids appearing in The Flintstones' Wacky Inventions which were instead stated to have been invented in Pebbles' adulthood rather than in Fred's childhood for the sake of consistency. Showing that while the show itself may not have been a proper prequel to the original series, elements from it still held relevance to other media in the franchise.
