Third watch was the most realistic Police/Fire/EMS series I've ever seen (I was. N.Y. cop). They even had an episode called "In their own words" which focused on first hand accounts of Sept. 11. They dangle a carrot in front of us with the first 2 seasons and then kick it to the curb.
