The Dakotas are a British pop-rock band that backed Billy J. Kramer in the 1960s. They had a hit single "The Cruel Sea" and reformed in the 1980s with new members and a new vocalist.
The Dakotas was a short-lived ABC/Warner Bros. show about U.S. marshals in the Dakota Territory. It was a spin-off of Cheyenne, but was cancelled after one episode depicting lawmen killing outlaws in a church.
