In April 2014, it was announced that Syfy would co-produce the series, and the first season premiered June 19, 2015. In September 2017, Syfy renewed the series for a fourth and a fifth season, each to consist of 10 episodes. The fifth and final season premiered July 19, 2019, and concluded on September 20, 2019.
