1. The episode's title is based on the legend of Robin Hood and his Merry Men in 13th century England as they fought the injustice of King John and the Sheriff of Nottingham. 2. Nora Marlowe, who portrayed Mrs. Bowen, and James McCallion who portrayed Vince Butler the reformed gambler, were married for 34 years in real life. They were the parents of producer Denis McCallion.
