Al tells Bud to lower his standards in finding women when he can't get a date. Al and Griff take off to avoid explaining to Gary why the sales have dropped 500% and still they are asking for a break room. Bud stops by and Gary finds him attractive. •The title of this episode is a likely reference to the 1995 comedy-drama film Boys on the Side.
Trivia
•When Griff is interrupted during his break at the shoe store, he was reading the book, "A Ship Called Passion", which was the book that Peggy read to Seven (and the inspiration for the pirate scenes) in the Season 7 episode, "Peggy and the Pirates". •Bud reveals that he had been wetting his bed until the age of 16. •Marcy does not appear in this episode. She is briefly mentioned by Al while talking to Jefferson. •This episode does not end with an epilogue scene.
