Feb 8, 2007 · When Lost last aired back in early November, I identified what I felt were the show’s two most damning faults: the inability of the characters to raise even the most basic, confusion-averting, common sense issues with one another, and the way the show withheld much of the action (both in the literal, violent, sense as well as juicy plot-developments) until the final 10 minutes of each episode.
What Works: "Not in Portland" is one of the best paced episode of Lost. It's relentless and there is always something interesting happening. Every storyline is equally interesting and exciting. It's a blast of an episode and feels like an action movie a lot of the time. Elizabeth Mitchell is fantastic in her first flashback episode.
