Dr. Caffrey has to deal with meddling from a senator who now insists on being included in the inner workings of the project. Meanwhile, residents of a small Rhode Island town call into a local radio station and complain that they're having dreams of "trees made of glass."
She gets up and looks around at this bizarre landscape. A glass forest. A heavy sigh echoes and there's a brittle, crackling sound. There's something reflected or refracted in one of the glass trees, an indistinct yet also distinctly alien form.
Jun 12, 2012 · “Trees Made of Glass” originally aired as a two-hour pilot, and it’s fairly effective. The cold open introduces the concept of otherness that marks any alien race worth its salt, and contrasts neatly with Molly’s professional, intelligent, but not field-ready demeanor.
