Reward for Matt was the 16th episode of the first season of Gunsmoke, the 16th overall episode of the series. Directed by series creator Charles Marquis Warren, the episode, developed as a screenplay written by David Victor and Herbert Little, Jr. from a story written by John Meston, was originally aired on CBS-TV on January 28, 1956.
