    Coming off the big twist at the end of Night One, "The Deceivers" took some of the biblical references that were hinted at earlier in the series and expanded on them in very intriguing ways. Of course, the cool thing about this episode is that we got the 20-year time jump from 2016, which meant that most of humanity had settled into the idea of Overlords looking like freaking demons.

    While the primary focus of Night Two was on other characters, we did get some followup on Ricky and Ellie's storyline, as Ricky struggled with his unforeseen sickness. One of the nice things about this subplot was how Ellie and Peretta formed an unlikely bond, which led to both of them showing up at the barn where Karellen and Ricky were speaking. Certainly this was one of the most intense scenes to come out of Night Two. Not only was there a shotgun in play but also a life serum that Ricky was forced to use on Karellen instead of himself. Granted, Ricky's sickness wasn't all that interesting to begin with, but the barn scene did at least show how much Ricky believed in Karellen's cause, despite the latter's deceit.

    While "The Deceivers" gave us more questions than answers, it was nice to let some of the characters breath a little more, free from exposition. Here, the storylines got to explore different possibilities and explanations for the Overlords' endgame. Both science and religion played a part in piecing together the bigger puzzle, but now more than eve...
