    The opening segment features a prototypical rant from comedian Dennis Miller on Dennis Miller Live. Peter listens to the entire thing before declaring his confusion on the word “rant”.

    When Chris begins talking street, Peter throws holy water on him while reciting “The power of Christ compels you!” This is a nod to The Exorcist.

    Upon finding out his black heritage, Peter greets everyone with “Hey hey hey!” This is a reference to “What’s Happening!”

    Peter also mentions a long string of black sitcoms to win over his African-American colleagues, including the Jeffersons, Diff’rent Strokes, and Good Times.

    The scene in the gym with the naked cheerleader with chicken legs floating from her private regions is a reference to American Beauty. Chicken legs replace rose petals in the scene.

    The Exxon Valdez oil spill of ’89 is referenced by a black comedian, which Peter fails to find the joke in.
