By now 23 of you have answered the question, and surprisingly many of you have reported experiencing episodes of complete silence since you got tinnitus, up to 40% of you. Apparently some of you have reached a stage of everlasting silence or absence of tinnitus.

Apr 17, 2015 · Hi all , Tinnitus is a strange beast, It hates silence and can get to most of us around quiet times.. We can have a ok day only to get a big spike having a short nap in the day due to our brain not use to it as trained sleep at night.
Aug 24, 2018 · 2006. Cause of Tinnitus: stress/loud concert. I would say it's a good sign if you sleep in silence. I have Tinnitus since 2006, with long episodes where was so quiet it was basically gone. I had new onsets of T/worsenings in 2011, 2016 and 2018. I always had the impression my ears need to rest at night.
Feb 23, 2021 · My tinnitus started randomly in early November, a few days later I was diagnosed with an outer ear infection and given an anti-bacterial ear spray that helped to reduce the tinnitus initially. Since then, it's reduced a lot more to the point where I only hear it in silent rooms and it's a stable tone.

The most important message from those of us who have found a means (or means) to cope, for the new sufferer, is that there is a better future. At the beginning, that optimistic message may be very difficult to believe but it is true.
