Donna Wandrey (May 11, 1948)
is an American actress who portrayed Roxanne Drew and Roxanne Drew (PT) in the original series of Dark Shadows. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Donna's short hair was strikingly different from the other actresses of the cast, and Donna jokingly credits her winning the part of Roxanne on her haircut. A devout Christian, she frequently wore a cross necklace, which the directors of Dark Shadows kept having to remind her to remove during filming, (as vampires don't wear crosses). She still lives in New York and has been active in live theater for many years.

Mar 8, 2012 · Joel Crothers was gay, sadly died from AIDS in the 1980's I think. But seriously folks, Frid is a fairy. The easier question would be, who wasn't gay on the Dark Shadows original series. Dark Shadows and Edge of Night were two of gayest sets in NYC in the 60s and 70s and that is saying a lot. In 1985, actress Donna Wandrey penned a first-person account of her visit to the "World Federation of Dark Shadows Clubs" in Newark, N.J., the previous year. The diary-style column was published in The Easter Review.
