     • Should my web app be able to run at all with just my zip file sitting there as C:\home\site\wwwroot\MyPackageName.zip?

     Pretty much, yes, just not in wwwroot. When WEBSITE_RUN_FROM_PACKAGE is enabled, the application is run from the archive directly as a read only directory mount. Nothing is copied to wwwwroot or anywhere else.

     • If it is supposed to run this way, any ideas on what am I missing?

     My understanding is package deploy from GitHub is not supported or rather GitHub archives are incompatible with run from package on App Service.

     There is a separate Mail.Read permission for both Application and Delegated permissions.

     First take a look at the section titled "App-only vs. delegated permissions"

     Permission scopes can be either app-only or delegated. App-only scopes (also known as app roles) grant the app the full set of privileges offered by the scope. App-only scopes are typically used by apps that run as a service without a signed-in user being present.

     Delegated permission scopes are for apps that act on behalf of a user. These scopes delegate the privileges of the signed-in user, allowing the app to act as the user. The actual privileges granted to the app will be the least privileged combination (the intersection) of the privileges granted by the scope and those possessed by the signed-in user. For example, if the permission scope grants delegated privileges to write all directory objects, but the signed-in user has privileges only to update their own user profile, the app will only be able to write the signed-in user's profile but no other objects.

     "Permissions not requiring administrator's consent" are delegated permissions, while "App-only permissions requiring administrator's consent" are the app-only permissions, which is why it shows up twice.

     The next thing to realize is that when you get a delegated token, the permissions your app has will be the intersection of the permissions the user has, and the permissions granted by consent. Therefore, with the signed in user's token, you will only be able to read the mail that user has access to, the extent of which is captured by Mail.Read.Shared

     Mail.Read.SharedRead user and shared mailAllows the app to read mail that the user can access, including the user's own and shared mail.-

     If you want to access the mail for all the user's in your tenant, then you must have a user account that has that level of access... or you need to use an App Only token which grants that scope of access.

     In multiple inheritance, child classes inherit both the methods and the data of the parent classes. This can cause problems, especially when the same named entity (whether method or data) can appear in multiple parents, or if two or more parents actually contain the exact same entity they themselves inherited from a common ancestor.

     On the other hand, Java's interfaces only declare a set of methods that must be implemented - there's actually no inheritance at all.

     And yes, interfaces can of course be grouped into class-like hierarchies, with inheritance. However an implements clause doesn't invoke inheritance, it's just a statement of intent that the given class will (indeed must) contain implementations of every method declared in the interface.

     foo is used as a place-holder name, usually in example code to signify that the object being named, or the choice of name, is not part of the crux of the example. foo is often followed by bar, baz, and even bundy, if more than one such name is needed. Wikipedia calls these names Metasyntactic Variables. Python programmers supposedly use spam, eggs, ham, instead of foo, etc.

     There are good uses of foo in SA.

     I have also seen foo used when the programmer can't think of a meaningful name (as a substitute for tmp, say), but I consider that to be a misuse of foo.
