Born in the Whitinsville section of Northbridge, Massachusetts, Spagnuolo moved to Grafton as a youth. After graduating from Grafton (MA) High School, Spagnuolo played wide receiverat Springfield College. He assisted the University of Massachusetts football team while pursuing his graduate degree.
