One of the things that makes Melrose famous is its beautiful Victorian era homes, which can be found throughout the city.

- Memorial Hall. Downtown Melrose has a fantastic performing arts venue, at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Building. This solemn granite building was completed in 1912 as a memorial to the service of the soldiers and sailors of the Civil War, and came through several phases of restorations in the 1990s and 2000s.
