Every larger Michigan city, and even the midsized ones have land areas that are about 1/2 to 1/3rd the area of cities of like populations. Because every inch of Michigan has been incorporated for so long, our cities are not able to compete as well.

Jun 17, 2005 · Don't get too excited about stats from 2000-2003. As we recently worked through an update of our township master plan, we decided to seek out even more up to date data than the census bureau could provide (we gathered data up to 2007-2008 versus the 2005 data elsewhere).
May 20, 2010 · From the website of the one in East Paris, it is in its original location and the only survivor in West Michigan. I think that during the construction of I-196 in the early 1960s, the one on Belknap Hill was simply demo'd.
