In the area I live you can buy the doors but no reputable contractor will install them. Way too many problems. You can buy decent doors from menards in crest line but they are special order and take a couple weeks to get. I have both,the crest line have been problem free,the mastercraft arebad. They also sell good windows if you special order them.

I think the pricing is fantastic, particularly if you buy during rebate time. This makes me feel great, because I’m actually getting 9 solid core interior doors delivered from Menards tomorrow.. just wasn’t sure of their exterior ones. If you're planning on sanding and staining, be very careful.
May 13, 2014 · Our door shop hangs 50 or so doors per week at a minimum. We buy the slabs from Koetter , then mill the jambs and apply the stops in our mill shop out of solid Poplar or Pine. From what I've over-heard, there is a BIG difference in what's used in the core of the door and obviously, how thick the veneer is and how it's applied.
