Arno Kompatscher (born 19 March 1971) is an Italian politician and governor of South Tyrol. From 15 June 2016 to 7 July 2021 he also was president of the region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol . Biography. Kompatscher was born in Völs am Schlern, South Tyrol.
Arno Kompatscher (* 19. März 1971 in Völs am Schlern) ist ein italienischer Politiker der Südtiroler Volkspartei und seit 2014 Landeshauptmann Südtirols. Von 2005 bis 2013 war Kompatscher Bürgermeister seiner Geburtsgemeinde, von 2011 bis 2013 stand er zudem als Präsident dem Südtiroler Gemeindenverband vor.
