Mohr, bassist Rob Squires and drummer Brian Nevin formed Big Head Todd & the Monsters in 1987. The young band’s slightly jazzy, neo-1970s rock ‘n’ blues sound, fronted by Mohr’s strong writing, powerful vocals and charisma, started gaining steam. The not-so-big-headed guys demonstrated the ability to tour relentlessly and get people to shows.
