Besides the ME Certificate, those who drive vehicles necessitating a Commercial Driver's License are additionally subject to two other parameters.
The exams are intended to prevent drivers with medical conditions that could impair their ability to safety operate a commercial motor vehicle from driving. The medical exam requirement is intended to keep the highways safe — for both truck driver and passengers in vehicles sharing the roads.
