Feb 19, 2024 · The simplest way to view folder sizes in Windows is by using File Explorer. All you need is to hover your cursor or click a few buttons. Open File Explorer by clicking its icon on the taskbar or by pressing Windows Key + E . Locate the folder whose size you want to check. To quickly check the size of the folder, hover your mouse over it.
The reason that folder sizes are not displayed in a list view is because it could be resource intensive. To calculate the size of a large folder with many files and subfolders could take a long time, then put 20 of these in a list and it will be a total drag on the system. That's not to say its impossible and I look forward to any answers. –
