Dublin is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio. A suburb of Columbus, it falls within the jurisdictions of the counties of Franklin County, Delaware County, and Union County. The population was 49,328 at the 2020 census. The city of Dublin hosts the yearly Memorial Tournament at the Muirfield Village Golf Club.
Early 19th century architecture and dry-laid limestone fences bordering its roads add to Historic Dublin’s heritage. Many of its original buildings are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In 2004, the City of Dublin wrote a history of the village and city, “Dublin’s Journey.”.

Sep 10, 2018 · Dublin is one of the oldest communities in the Central Ohio area as the first settlers began to arrive in 1801. Coming from Pennsylvania via Kentucky, Ludwick Sells and his eight children were among the first to settle in Dublin.
Dublin, Ohio was incorporated as a village in 1881 but didn't become a city until 1987. Today, nearly 44,000 residents call Dublin home. The ambiance of that original settlement is still evident in Historic Dublin's charming 19th-century architecture, limestone fences and brick sidewalks.
In the 1880’s Dublin was known as the roughest frontier town in the area. Five saloons on the main street garnered a lively business at all hours of the day and night, seven days a week. Young men raced their buckboards and horses through town throwing mud over porches and shop windows.
