Mercy isn't a bad hospital. It is a chain of bad hospitals. My sister in law worked for a hospital that was purchased by Mercy. She worked there happily for many years before the buyout. They immediately slashed staff including aides, housekeeping, and maintenance workers. They also raised rates and closed "underperforming" departments.
