  6. Moved to Reading one year ago. Reading definitely feels less rough than SE London or the parts of NY I lived in. Oxford is obviously more affluent and feels a bit cleaner/safer, but housing prices are roughly 40% higher. All in all, I really like Reading. It has more going on than Oxford (food-wise, activities-wise).
