Lackawanna County (/ l æ k ə ˈ w ɑː n ə /; Unami: Lèkaohane) is a U.S. county in the northeastern portion of Pennsylvania.As of the 2020 census, the population was 215,896. Its county seat and largest city is Scranton.
Lackawanna is the first and continues to be the only private college in northeastern Pennsylvania authorized to provide ACT 120 training. As of July 1, 2020, Lackawanna's president is Dr. Jill Murray. Dr. Murray succeeded former Lackawanna College president Colonel Mark Volk.
