It is the sequel to Turma da Mônica: Laços, and based on the graphic novel of the same name written and drawn by siblings Victor Cafaggi and Lu Cafaggi. The film features Monica, Jimmy Five, Maggy and Smudge forget to do their homework and run away from school (6th or 7th year of elementary school).

Lu Cafaggi is a comic artist from Minas Gerais, more precisely from the city of Belo Horizonte. She began publishing her illustrations and comics online in 2009 and, since then, has worked with independent authorial material and comic reports.
