The San Francisco Church (Spanish: Iglesia de San Francisco) is a Franciscan church on Avenida Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins, in the downtown of Santiago de Chile. The church, along with the adjacent convent, is one of the oldest colonial-era buildings in the country. [1]

The Church is the oldest in Chile and right next to our hotel, Plaza San Francisco and the Museo Colonial. Looks very plain from the outside but is quite impressive inside. Very calming interior and spacious, makes one want to just sit and absorb the peacefulness of it. Read more.

San Francisco de Mostazal es la ciudad principal y capital de la comuna de Mostazal, región de O'Higgins, ubicada a 21 km al norte de Rancagua, en la zona central de Chile.
One of the greatest treasures of Colonial times in the country can be seen on the high altar of this church, the Virgen del Socorro (Our Lady of Help) or the Virgen del Bulto, the first Catholic image to have reached Chile, and which belonged to the Spanish conquistador, Pedro de Valdivia.
