Over the next century, that collection evolved into the Walker Art Center, a world-renowned site for challenging work by innovative artists, including Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Yoko Ono, and Kara Walker.
The Walker Art Center is one of the top five most visited modern and contemporary art museums in the country, and for good reason. Five exhibitions are currently on display, with 10 more coming up this year. They also offer classes and workshops, lectures, special performances and screenings.
