  2. May 1, 2018 · Abstract. In this paper, we do a critical review of statistical methods for landslide susceptibility modelling and associated terrain zonations. Landslide susceptibility is the likelihood of a landslide occurring in an area depending on local terrain conditions, estimating “where” landslides are likely to occur.

  3. May 20, 2020 · The landslide susceptibility and hazard zonation through multivariate statistical approach is based on the relationship of relative contribution of each of the causative factor to the total landslide susceptibility in the area (Nandi and Shakoor 2009; Kanungo et al. 2009; Ayalew and Yamagishi 2005; Süzen and Doyuran 2004; Dai et al. 2001). In ...

  5. Dec 3, 2022 · Landslide or landslip is a geological hazard that commonly happens in mountainous areas due to high energy and instability of mass (Roy and Saha 2019).The landslide has a complex mechanism, mainly driven by geomorphology, topography, geology, and seismic events (Pourghasemi et al. 2018).

  7. May 29, 2020 · Further investigations are needed to better assess susceptibility and to determine whether regions with high relief and steep topography, but without mapped landslides, require further landslide inventory mapping. Overall, this map provides a new resource for accessing information about known landslides across the USA.

  8. Jun 15, 2020 · The performance of the final landslide susceptibility maps produced by FR and WoE models were validated using Landslide Density Index (LDI) and Area Under the Curve (AUC) values. The result revealed that the very low, low, moderate, high and very high values of the landslide susceptibility map are comparable with Landslide Density Index.
