In 2005, Phish formed their own record label, JEMP Records, to release archival CD and DVD sets. The label's first release was Phish: New Year's Eve 1995 – Live at Madison Square Garden, which was released in conjunction with Rhino Records in December 2005.

From 1992 to 2004 Phish was signed with Elektra Records and released seventeen CD promo singles for radio DJs and one commercial cassette single, "Down with Disease". In 2005 Phish started their own record label, JEMP Records (in association with Rhino for a year) and have released one promo single and four digital singles since.

From 1990 to 1994, Phish toured extensively before taking annual pauses. The band declared its breakup in 2004, and played its “last” gig that year at a weekend-long event in Coventry, Vermont, only to reform in 2009. They’ve resumed touring and are working on new studio albums under their own label, JEMP Records.

Nov 9, 2011 · Sometimes the band will play while some of the stories are told by Trey. By 1990, they began to create a buzz with their live shows and in 1991 they signed with Elektra Records. Phish toured heavily from 1990 to 1994 then began annual breaks.
