In late 1955 the 356 A appeared, with a curved windshield. The A was the first road going Porsche to offer the Carrera four-cam engine as an option. In late 1959 the T5 356 B appeared; followed by the redesigned T6 series 356 B in 1962. The final version was the 356 C, little changed from the late T6 B cars but disc brakes replaced the drums.

The Details. At the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1959, Porsche launched the 356 B. The T-5 from September 1959 to August 1961 and the T-6 from September 1961 to July 1963. Customers could choose from three different engines and three body styles. The 1600 S had the same set up as the 1600 and Super 90, so there were no real differences there.
