     Use of Private IP in Home Networks: The Private IP are not registered thus it cannot be used to find a user uniquely over the internet. The private IP are usually in the range 192.168.X.X and 10.X.X.X . These private IP are assigned by the routers to each device which is connected to the router.

     What you are trying to do is actually quite common. It is normally referred as Bi-directional one-to-many relationship. In your case it should look like:

     class Poll { //.... @OneToMany(mappedBy="poll") private Set<Option> options;}class Option { //... @ManyToOne @JoinColumn("poll_id") // I always like to be explicit on naming :P private Poll poll;}

     This gives you a more intuitive model. It allow you to navigate from both sides (e.g. in HQL).

     One confusion is usually: which side Hibernate is going to use to maintain the relationship in DB? In Hibernate, there should be one side "owning" a relationship (what we shown above is one relationship, though bi-directional). If you have @JoinColumn in both side, Hibernate will complain. In our above example, by using mappedBy, Hibernate knows that it is the Option side owning the relationship. You can see the difference if the Poll side and Option side is inconsistent (e.g. You have Poll-1 containing Option-1, but Option-1 pointing to Poll-2, and Poll-2 is not containing Option-1. The result is, the Option table will be referring Poll-2)

     Some pitfalls you should be aware. What is described above about "owning relationship" is simply on the ORM aspect. If you do not properly maintain your relationships in your model, your models may become inconsistent and will have problem if you are changing them in same session. It is your obligation to make sure the relationship is consistent.

     For scenarios where it is sometimes possible for the object to perform the requested operation, and the object state determines whether the operation can be performed, see InvalidOperationException

     .

     What follows is purely my own interpretation of the rule:

     • If the object's state can change so that the operation can become invalid / valid during the object's lifetime, then InvalidOperationException should be used.
     • If the operation is always invalid / valid during the whole object's lifetime, then NotSupportedException should be used.
     • In that case, "lifetime" means "the whole time that anyone can get a reference to the object" - that is, even after a Dispose() call that often makes most other instance methods unusable; As pointed out by Martin Liversage, in the case of an object having been disposed, the more specific ObjectDisposedException type should be used. (That is still a subtype of InvalidOperationException).

     The practical application of these rules in that case would be as follows:

     • If isReadOnly can only be set at the time when the object is created (e.g. a constructor argument), and never at any other time, then NotSupportedException should be used.
     • If isReadOnly can change during the lifetime of the object, then InvalidOperationException should be used. However, the point of InvalidOperationException vs NotSupportedException is actually moot in the case of implementing a collection - given the description of IsReadOnly on MSDN, the only permitted behavior for IsReadOnly is that its value never changes after the collection is initialized. Meaning that a collection instance can either be modifiable or read-only - but it should choose one at initialization and stick with it for the rest of its lifetime.

     When you do use SomeNamespace\ClassName than you do not have later append \SomeNamespace to ClassName. So your example should be

     Please note that when you are in same namespace, than you do not need to add namespace to class name. When namespace App; then User::class instead of \App\User::class
