Disable "Always register Malwarebytes in the Windows Security Center". Microsoft Defender should automatically start at this point. Let's know how it goes.
Oct 10, 2022 · Ok. It looks like uninstalling Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office via Apps & Features is the only option. Once uninstalled and rebooted, Defender should automatically switch from disabled/manual to auto-start. Ramesh, Windows Shell MVP 2003-2012. As with any Surface, it will come pre-loaded with Windows Defender, an anti-virus already included with Windows 10. You may purchase a third party anti-virus but that will be up to you to determine if Defender is adequate for what you do.
