The Old Bell Labs Holmdel Complex, located about 20 miles south of New York City, in New Jersey. Bell's Holmdel research and development lab, a 1,900,000-square-foot (180,000 m 2) structure set on 473 acres (191 ha), was closed in 2007. The mirrored-glass building was designed by Eero Saarinen.
