Anders Hejlsberg ( / ˈhaɪlzbɜːrɡ /, born 2 December 1960) [2] is a Danish software engineer who co-designed several programming languages and development tools. He was the original author of Turbo Pascal and the chief architect of Delphi. He currently works for Microsoft as the lead architect of C# [1] and core developer on TypeScript. [3]

The C# programming language was designed by Anders Hejlsberg from Microsoft in 2000 and was later approved as an international standard by Ecma (ECMA-334) in 2002 and ISO / IEC (ISO/IEC 23270 and 20619 [c]) in 2003.
