    Act I

    The musical opens with Tina preparing to go on stage, as she recites a Buddhist chant, nam myoho renge kyo. Adrienne Warren played the title role, with Jenny Fitzpatrick alternating in the role in some performances. The production was nominated for three Laurence Olivier Awards, including Best Musical.
