Jun 25, 2024 · Short Answer: Yes, a tour is worth it. While it is entirely possible and enjoyable to visit the Tower of London without a guide, a guided tour can often elevate a visit to another level.
The only complaint I've ever heard about Tower of London is maybe the cost of admission and the crowds. It's more expensive than most historic sites, but it must take an incredible amount of money to maintain this treasure. And it's crowded because it is such a great site.
