Priscilla Kay Alden (born October 24, 1946) is an American television writer and the former head writer for the soap opera, The Young and the Restless . Career. Alden began writing for The Young and the Restless as a script writer in 1974 while researching her dissertation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. [1] .
