Richard Tandy (born 26 March 1948) is an English musician. He was the keyboardist in the band Electric Light Orchestra ("ELO"). [1] His palette of keyboards (including Minimoog , Clavinet , Mellotron , and piano) was an important ingredient in the group's sound, especially on the albums A New World Record , Out of the Blue , Discovery , and Time .

Currently Jeff Lynne and keyboardist Richard Tandy are the only official members of the band. Under the moniker Jeff Lynne's ELO, they tour with additional musicians. The Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) are an English rock band from Birmingham.
Oct 3, 2018 · The ELO line-up had now settled around Lynne, Bevan and pianist Richard Tandy, cellists Mike Edwards and Hugh McDowell and violinist Mik Kaminski. The newest member was Kelly Groucutt, he of the Brillo pad hair and moustache, who’d replaced original bass player Mike de Albuquerque.
